Comments :
This is my first game in Serbia although I''ve visited the country many times before. The game was switched from a Saturday to a Friday 4pm kick off for TV coverage, which may have been a reason for the sparse crowd, despite it being a top of the table clash in Serbia''s top division. FK Vojvodina were 4th in the table and FK Borac 2nd. The game was a terrible and the quality of the football was really poor. Vojvodina scored a completely unexpected goal with a glancing header from a free kick in the 71st minute. Borac equalised with a few minutes to go. The referee was terrible and booked numerous players. I lost count of how many but it was in double figures. The inevitable sending off came in the first minute of added on time and the home team finished the game with 10 men. The ground was oval shaped with three sides open and a covered main stand. Everything was a bit run down and could have done with a lick of paint but I doubt the club has any money to do anything. Tickets cost 300 dinars. That''s less than £2. There were nuts and seeds for sale but otherwise nothing to eat or drink in the stadium and no match programme. The atmosphere in the ground was a bit quiet but relaxed and friendly. There was no crowd segregation.
