Left home at about 12:30 and got the 127 bus to Mitcham where I had to wait 25-30 mins for a 280 to arrive. Got to the ground at about 13:40 and sold programmes at the Collingwood Road end to the Hartlepool fans. Sold out about 10-15 mins before KO and stood to the left of the main stand. We completely dominated the 1st half and took the lead around about 10 mins through a free kick which was floated in for Lafayette to place a header into the bottom corner. We continued to dominate the game and play some expansive and entertaining football and should've extended our lead but couldn't hit the target. From out of nowhere Hartlepool got an equaliser on about 30 mins which was probably their first shot on target. It was 1-1 at HT but we should've been at least 2 goals ahead. 2nd half started much like the 1st for a good 15 mins but we just couldn't find the back of the net. The intensity of our attacks decreased after about 60 mins and Hartlepool deployed the tactic of time-wasting and manged to get a foot hold on the game to slow it down. Lafayette should've got 2 more goals, one from another set piece where he headed over in which he should've hit the target and with the last kick of the game, he was through one on one after a defensive mistake but missed the target when he should have hit it at least. Left the ground and got 280 back to Mitcham and got 127 home. Got home at about 17:50.
