Game number 17. We arrived in North London quite early so we could park at the station. After parking up we went back up the hill in to town to find somewhere to eat. We immediately found a toby carvery. After a nice light lunch we headed back towards the stadium. We bought our tickets and went to buy some snacks. I had a coffee and when we took our seats i was putting my drink on the floor when the lid flipped off and the boiling liquid poured over my hand. Yes it hurt. The drink was so hot that it was still warm at half time. Another downside at this game was that Barnet had kindly given away free tickets to the local schoolchildren and we ended up amongst them all!
The game was ok. Barnets new signing got both of the goals
At half time we decided that as there were several thousand seats unused we would ask the steward if we could sit in the other stand where there were hardly any supporters. Not as simple as you may think. The steward came up with some odd explanation as to why we couldnt move. It was an explanation that didnt make sense. Jobs worth!
Overall we had a good day.
