| The recently opened Madejski stadium had overcome its teething problems. I got in late, my brother and his mate had jumped out the car and walked the last half mile to get there in time. They had more people selling tickets than turnstile operators, DUH, and then once you had accessed the ground were told, it's sit where you like. I insisted on being shown to my seat before moving to sit by Lloyd. Getting away was no easier!
I was so irritated I wrote to the club, not least to apologise for my rude behaviour. I got a very fulsome and apologetic reply.
