Went by car with Dad. Left home at about 19:00 and got to the ground at about 19:25. The game itself was an entertaining one for the 1st one of the season. Both sides were looking to get the ball down and play and use the wingers they had on the pitch. It started off as an end to end game with both sides going for it at the beginning. Tonbridge took the lead around about the 35th minute. The game stayed that way until about 50 mins in when Sutton Common Rovers got given a penalty but it crashed off the crossbar. Sutton Common then had numerous chances to equalise but all of the were ballooned over. Thinks its easy to see what they need to work on in pre-season. Tonbridge doubled their lead against the run of play in about the 80th minute when their right winger belted down the wing and struck a bullet shot into the opposite corner of the goal. The game finished 0-2 and we got back in the car and got home just before 22:00.
