Comments :
Game number 5. This was our first midweek game as i had to attend my wifes graduation on the following Saturday. We managed to park for free on a road just opposite the entrance. We picked up our tickets from Rita in the Kabin by the turnstiles - true story! Rita turned out to be a man though. Today it was raining. We managed to get our photos taken inside and outside the ground before getting a Chicken balti pie and a pint of lager. Pastry on the pie was slightly hard. It had been raining quite heavy but the stand was well covered - apart from our seats which for some reason had a huge puddle on the floor! Our seats were half way back in the stand and it seemed a mystery as to why the puddle should be there. Behind us was Rotherhams most out spoken female pensioner. She was commentating on every pass whilst comparing this game to others she had attended - namely Torquay! This was also our first league 2 fixture and to all those people who say that league 2 is a poor league - you're right! This game was bad, not helped by the poor pitch which had cut up badly. Having said that the goals scored by Rotherham forward Adam Le Fondre (ALF) livened things up. His second was an overhead scissor kick. He also missed a penalty which would have completed his hat trick towards the end. Although it rained and was a poor match - this is what doing the 92 is all about. We had a good time and enjoyed the experience.
