Drove to the game with my mate Tony with the journey taking 90 minutes, luckily we both got of work early. Programme secured, the visitors went a goal up in the first minute and added a second minutes later to give Leek an uphill task. This lead was nearly extended when they hit the post whilst a headed clearance from linnets keeper was volleyed inches wide for leek. A fortunate ricochet fell kindly and Leek got a carbon copy of their first goal with a low shot in off the far post(the second had come from a well worked corner routine hit low through a crowded box from just inside the box. HT 0-3 The hosts pulled one back in the second half with a low cross shot in off the post but from the opposite side of the goal before Linnets wrapped it up from another corner. Unfortunately i missed this goal as i was distracted by some crowd trouble and the stewards separating the home fans that had gathered next to the visiting fans.
