A fairly mundane first half was brought to life with a 35 yard effort that dipped sublimely over the keeper as half time approached (Hough)43. Villa levelled shortly after the break when a corner pinged about the box and was only half cleared before being rifled home from just inside the box(Bentham)46. South got their own corner shortly afterwards but ill discipline and a suspected embow in the build up saw them reduced to ten men and from their in the hosts looked much more likely to take the points home however the South keeper kept them in it with several good saves and an element of good fortune seeing a winner chalked off five minutes from time as the shot was harshly ruled to have deflected in off an arm and the spoils were shared.
