GROUND HISTORY adapted from "The Ultimate Directory of English & Scottish Football League Grounds"

Located about 1 mile south east of Sandbach (south off the A533), the pitch was sited in a field on the east side of the Vicarage and had a considerable drop of at least 50ft behind the goal at the south end down to Stannerhouse Lane. There were no facilities; spectators stood on the east side of the pitch alongside of a footpath and hedge and it is assumed that one of the outhouses at the Vicarage was utilized for changing rooms.

The ground was used by Sandbach St Mary FC amongst others for many years, up to WWII at least, before the pitch returned to agricultural use and the Vicarage is now a private house; Tall Chimneys.
