GROUND HISTORY adapted from "The Ultimate Directory of English & Scottish Football League Grounds"

Sited east of the town centre, when the ground opened on May 24th, 1890 with a match between a Kidderminster XI and Walsall Swifts the facilities included a grandstand on the west side and the pitch was enclosed by an oval banked running track. A new 460 seat grandstand was built in 1935 and other pre-WWII improvements included the provision of cover at the south end and on the east side.

Following the war, the running track was replaced by a cycle track and the record attendance of 9,155 was established at the FA Cup 1st Round Replay v. Hereford United (1-2) on November 27th, 1948. Aggborough also hosted the first ever FA Cup tie to be played under floodlights when Kidderminster Harriers met Brierley Hill Alliance in a Qualifying Round replay on September 14th, 1955.

A new stand was constructed on the east side in 1979 and, in the 1983, concrete terracing installed around the ground. Aggborough was rebuilt in the 1990s, the oval track removed, a new main stand built in 1994 and covered terracing provided at each end. In 2003 a new 2,040 seat cantilever roofed stand was constructed on the east side and the capacity for the 2004/5 season was 6,293 with 3,150 seats. The pitch size was 112 x 72 yards.
