GROUND HISTORY adapted from "The Ultimate Directory of English & Scottish Football League Grounds"
Located to the north west of the town centre and on the west side of Ropery Road, this temporary venue was probably sited on the north side of the Bowling Green. There was no enclosure and canvas sheeting, apparently borrowed from the local Agricultural Society, was erected around the ground with the teams presumably changing in the adjacent club house. Campbell Street and housing now occupy the site.
