Constructed on a greenfield site the 27,500 seat capacity stadium is composed of a continuous single tier of seats with a continuous cantilevered roof. When opened in 2003 it was known as The Reynolds Arena, named after the club chairman who was instrumental in having it built, but in 2004 the club went into administration and the ground reverted to the New Stadium. Later in the same year it was re-named as the Williamson Motors Stadium and in 2006 as the 96.6TFM Darlington Arena. The pitch size was 110 x 74 yards.
