Ridiculous, frustrating and tiring day. Left my room at 10:30 with the original plan of going to Barrow v Sutton. Got the 10:52 train to Warrington and changed trains to go to Lancaster. Found out just before I got to Lancaster that the game had been postponed. I then decided when I was at Lancaster to go to Morecambe instead. The extra train fare was only Ł2.10 thankfully so I got the next train to Morecambe which took 10 mins and meant that I arrived at Morecambe at about 12:30. I decided to go for a walk along the seafront to kill a bit of time. Morecambe reminds me of another run down coastal resort. Not somewhere I would like to go again. Went and bought some lunch in Morrisons and then walked for 20 mins to the ground. Got to the ground at 13:30 and had lunch before going in the club shop to buy ticket for game. Went into the ground at about 14:20 and stood in the north terrace behind the goal. The first 10-15 mins of the game was quite poor and I thought it was just going to sum up my day. Morecambe looked awful with most players unable to get the ball under control or put a pass together. Mansfield applied a bit of pressure and looked the better side but gifted Morecambe the 1st goal after a back pass was too short which allowed the Morecambe player to round the keeper and tap it in. Morecambe then took control of the 1st half and applied pressure and should''ve extended their lead but 1st half ended 1-0. 2nd half Mansfield came out and dominated the 2nd half, Morecambe kept on getting deeper and deeper and Mansfield got the equaliser that they deserved after their level of pressure. Morecambe still had a few chances to win the game and should''ve had a penalty but the referee made some dodgy decisions throughout the game. A draw was a fair result and when it got to the 2nd/3rd minute of injury time I left to get the train. I was gutted to hear when I got to the edge of the ground the Mansfield fans cheering as they had scored a last minute winner. I was running back to the station only to miss the 17:07 train which meant I wouldn''t be getting into Chester at 18:50 but 20:45 instead. Waited at Morecambe station for the 17:55 train back to Lancaster. I then decided to get the early train that would get me into Warrington in order to have 3 mins changing time which meant I would get back earlier. The train then got stuck at Preston for 10-15 meaning I wouldn''t be able to get my train to Chester from Warrington. I then decided to change at Wigan to get the train I was originally going to get from Lancaster to Crewe. Got the train from Wigan to Crewe and then got the train back to Chester getting back to my room at 21:00. Until 16:50 it was a good day but it then went downhill from there given that I missed the last goal of the game and had to change here there and everywhere to get back.
