My main memory of my one and only visit to the nearest league ground to where I grew up, Elm Park, was watching Alan Oakes play for Chester! I played in goal so I was also impressed by seeing Steve Death. In retrospect I wish I''d paid more attention to the fact that Robin Friday was in the Reading team (and scored), Eamonn Dunphy, too. We got there late so I didn''t get the programme, this is the first time this site has cost me money as went on to eBay to get it!.
