Worth going to see the Stanley Mathews statues outside. The ground is a reverse-tardis in that it looks pretty imposing when you drive up, but much smaller when you're inside. The game was pretty drab with Stoke stifling Charlton's ambition. Doesn't look as though Charlton know how to battle in this division. Good size crowd despite it being on the telly. Half time standing ovation given to a group of soldiers returned from the Iraq.
