A different one here, a trip to Wales for a Friday night league match, a first for Fletch !! Fletch and Joe headed to the land of sheep lovers for this championship game !! Due to a motorway accident the lads spent a enjoyable 4 hours and 45 minutes on the coach on the way to this one with no stops The lads arrived with a minute spare until the game kicked off Fletch (STARVING) headed for food inside the ground, Joe had a quick smoke outside. The game was on tellys downstairs as the lads went in so a quick bite and up to the seats was the plan, Fletch purchased two cheeseburgers and wanted to eat both but being the good loyal friend he is presented his mate Selfy with one as he come in the ground with the bad news that Blues had gone a goal behind !! The lads not happy headed to the seats, Swansea where awesome for the first 15 - 20 minutes and battered Blues hitting a post and missing a couple of golden chances !! Againsts the runf off play Blues nicked a equaliser not long before the break, a run and excellent cross was met by the head off Marcus Bent who powered home his first Birmingham goal. The blues fans celebrated. Fletch and Joe headed down for a beer. Fletch was in the middle off texting Warren and Daisy the news that Marcus had scored his first blues goal when Swansea struck again. Liam Ridgewell (who else) deflected a shot past Maik Taylor to sneak over the line despite Nicky Hunts best efforts !! 2-1 to the welsh at the break. Fletch was amazed to see the Zulu (one eyed Baz) who had been on Danny Dyer's deadlist men a few nights earlier. Baz was getting alot off attention from little wannabe's however Fletch wanted to say hello after enjoying the show so much a few nights earlier. Fletch went over and advised it was a excellent show that he had enjoyed, Baz thanked Fletch for his compliments and the zulu and bluezu shook hands !! A quick pint, the only one the lads got all day and back up for the second half. It was like a new team in the second half as Blues come out the traps and attacked from the off. James McFadden tried to beat one man too many and slip over after Marcus Bent had calved out a excellent chance and Seb Larsson put wide when he really should have scored just after the hour mark. Time was ticking on so it was soon time for the master finisher to enter the game. Kevin Phillips come off the bench and within 10 minutes brilliantly connected to James McFaddens excellent cross to bring the game level. Just five minutes later he was at it again, a mistake at the back from Swansea, a excellent ball from Bent to Phillips and BANG the master unleased a stunning shot from the edge off the box to win the game !! The blues fans went wild, Fletch fresh from a double toe op made sure no one jumped on him. Blues defended well for the last 10 minutes or so to hang on for a vitual 3 points.   The lads headed back to the coach, Fletch was dissapointed on the way home as there where no Swansea fans to taunt, well there where two by some boozer but that was all. A better journey on the way home and the lads where back at Fletch's for about 00:45am. The lads enjoyed a few bottles and re-watched the goals about 15 times that where recorded from sky sports new. A bit off blue square prem highlights to finish the night off and Joe departed for bed as he was off to Chesterfield v Aldershot the following day. A couple more to Fletch and off to bed for him.
