4:15 !!!! 4:15 in the bloody morning was the time the alarm went off on what was going to be a very long day indeed.  Heidi and I picked Ghouter up at 5:00 and at just after 10:00 we arrived at Carlisle for a 12:15 kick off.  Game wasn't great but Leeds desevered the win and I was struggling to see how Carlisle were in the top 4 in the league on that preformance.  We left after the second goal and headed down the M6 to Morcambe to watch the Grimsby game, which we turned up 30 mins late for, so Ghouter didn't have to make this trip on his own.  We missed the Grimsby goal but Morcambe equalized and should have got a winner at the end.  Then it was back down the M6 home.

Well this was the first of 2 new grounds in a day!  Had to get up at the totally unearthly time of 4:20am for a 5am pick up!  Went with Steve and Heidi, journey up there was surprising ok, after being awake for an hour I slept in the car for the best part of 3 hours and we were practically in Manchester already by then.  Nice drive through part of the lake district up to Carlisle, ended up arriving about 10am for a 12:15 kick off.  Wandered into Carlisle itself before the game which was ok,  I have never ever seen so many police around it was heathing with them.  They were on practically every corner and there were loads of mounted police as and police in undercover cars as well.  The game itself was pretty poor, there was a good atmosphere in the ground though and a few decent chants by the Carlisle fans.  They actually announced that the Leeds fans would be held back after the game for 'safety reason' there was about 100 police surrounding them.  We left in the 87th minute, Leeds had just wrapped the game up and deserved the win.  Got back to the car and off we went for the 2nd game in Morecambe....See that for the account on that one!
