Alex v Stan!!!! How on earth did no one score? Loads of goalmouth action, especially in the Crewe goal mouth, but somehow no goals. Very good game though. Crewe were a very young team, the only 2 oldies being at centre back - other than that all very quick, very skillful young kids, although they lacked the final ball/finish. Accrington were bigger, older and a bit more physical (although not dirty) and they did have a final ball/finish but a combination of the crewe keeper, the woodwork and last ditch goalmouth defensive clearances somehow kept them out. The fans were great (once again) - both sides had drummers + Accrington brought loads of flags too (e.g. Pride of Lancashire). Accrington had some great songs including their own version of Anarchy in the UK - Accrington in the UK! I......., wanna be......., Stanley. Brilliant!
