Sometimes you don''t know what you''re missing - and that''s how I felt about this. I haven''t been to a premiership game for years and boy was it good. Not the greatest game of football I''ve ever seen but there were big name players on show, a big crowd and a great atmosphere - it just had a really good feel to it. Agbonlahor, Crouch, Given, Heskey, Ricardo Fuller, Delap, Jermaine Penant, etc, all playing. Some very noisy Stoke fans singing Delila and yam yam yam yam. At 19 mins we all applauded to show support for Villa captain Stilian (Stan) Petrov - including the stoke fans. Both goals were bang in front of me - and both were very good. Liked the William McGregor statue outside (founder of the football league in 1874) - an old man with a stick being an unusual statue outside a football ground. Friendly atmosphere at Villa (unlike Birmingham City) and good veggie burgers too! BEFORE - The famous ''91 fa cup semi v West Ham that we won 4-0.
