Our next trip on the 6th October 2012 took Luke and myself to see Crewe Alexandra play Hartlepool Utd.The ground is a very handy 5 mins walk from the train station and we arrived in plenty of time to purchase our tickets for the family enclosure(£20 for the 2 tickets)again we sampled the local fish and chip shop opposite the ground. We took our seats,sitting directly behind the goal where we were able to watch the Hartlepool players warm up.A really friendly club Crewe and we thoroughly enjoyed our day.I took a photograph of Luke at half-time with the club mascot Gresty the Monkey.The game itself was a good game with Hartlepool scoring first only for Crewe to miss a penalty.Crewe came back and scored twice to win 2-1 to send the majority of the 4,375 crowd home happy.A brisk walk to the station followed so we could catch the train for our 40 odd minute journey back to Liverpool.Our day ended on a really high note when we seen ourselves on television later in the evening,after the missed penalty and the 1st Crewe goal were shown on Sky Sports at the end we were sitting behind the goal.Luke was delighted to see himself on telly.A really good day.
