Yes, it's London, but not as you might think it. The ground almost backs onto the BBC television centre and with swanky apartment blocks around and the enormous new Westfield shopping centre a short walk away it all feels a bit 'twee'. That said, the ground itself snuggles into the surroundings and has a small (which it is) and friendly feel about it. The big plus is that this ground generates a fantastic atmosphere. Small and full is always better than big and empty and Loftus Road does it brilliantly. The weather was lousy, the viewing from the stands not great (too many big fat roof support posts) but the feeling of being up close and personal with the action plus the intensity of the packed in crowd makes it a great place to watch foorball. I have to say that this match was helped as well by amazing Everton support (so different from - much better than - Liverpool fans who always arrive late, leave early and sepnd the entire match complaining of being vile). I absolutely loved this visit and woudl most definitiely go back there again. Only small negative - we parked in the Westfield centre and forgot to take note of where we parked. It took me an age to find the car.
