What a great day out !!! Long (train down and back on the day) and not brilliant weather, but a great little ground and really (honestly!!) an excellent game of football. Probably the most entertaining match we've seen all season with Orient completly dominating the game throughout with slick passing football under constant drizzling rain on a mud-pie pitch. The ground is great. Nestled in amongt newly built blocks of flats on all corners it actually looks like it was put there after (it fits inside so well). And being in the heart of Leyton it has a solid core of local support as demonstrated by the accents heard harranging the rotton referee (D'Urso). have to say very strange shouts and chants - a lot completely unintelligible - and more like a turette's conventions than the usual football crowd. And some incredible proounciations too e.g. you're a dick (long pause) head, Ref or come on you Oar (gap) ee (gap) unt !!!. But that said it was a good crowd of pssionate and generally knowledgeable supporters. Charlie had to leave at half time to get to the Millwall/Wigan FA Cup semifinal at Wembley (ticket courtesy of Metro Shipping) but I stayed on for a fabulously enjoyable second half. Then a walk back to the tube in pouring rain so was soaked and cold through by the time I got to my train. Back home by 21:30 with a big smile on my chops. Oh yes, and today was out 46th ground so half way hip hooray.
