A fantastic game to watch. Peterborough were outstanding. Looked a division or two better than their opponents, playing some delightful passing football. Jon Taylor was the best player on view, though Bostwick, Oztumer and Jermaine Anderson also impressed. Though only mid-table, Peterborough were currently the top scorers across all four divisions, with 39 goals in 18 games. In this match they had 17 corners and 27 shots at goal of which 12 were on target. Not bad for the away side. I liked the ground and had a great view from my seat in the Main Stand, which is colossal for a lower division ground. It offered a panoramic view of beautiful downtown Crewe over the Ice Cream Van Stand opposite, which, unusually for a side stand, was given over entirely to the visiting fans. My first trip to Crewe was enlivened by the appearance, over the Peterborough goal, of billowing smoke from the adjacent mainline. Apparently the steam locomotive ''Mayflower'' had been in town for the day. What are the chances?
Cold.
