Very entertaining game and one that fits the phrase, a game of two halves. Left campus at about 13:00 and walked down to the station to catch the 13:35 train to Crewe. Very easy walk from the station to the ground and got there at about 14:00 ish. Went to ticket office to get ticket and student membership which got me money off my ticket. It took them forever to sort it out though and in the end they got my name wrong. Went into the ground at about 14:20 and watched the last 10 mins of Doncaster v Rotherham. Sat in the main stand along the half way line about half way up the stand. Crewe were the better side in the 1st half and deserved to go in at HT winning. The 1st half itself was an entertaining half apart from the last 15 mins where it started to lose its intensity and speed that it had at the start. Crewe took the lead within 10 mins from a corner and had a few other chances to go into HT with a bigger lead but didn''t take them. Lincoln were pretty poor within the 1st half and I guess Danny Cowley gave them a big HT talk as they came out a completely different side and took control of the game. Their equaliser came from their winger cutting inside and placing the ball in the bottom corner. He then got his 2nd and Lincoln''s 2nd about 10 mins later after a scrap from a corner which was bundled in. Lincoln''s 3rd was an own goal but some lovely build up play and a lovely cross which meant that the Crewe CB turned the ball into his own net. Lincoln''s 4th came in injury time after a good through ball by their captain which was slotted home by Lincoln''s number 4. Overall, a brilliant performance in the 2nd half by Lincoln and a dreadful 2nd half from Crewe. Left the ground at about 17:05 and walked to the station to get the 17:25 train back to Chester. Got back to my room at 18:00.
