Went with Dad by train. Left home at about 6:45 and got the tube from Tooting Broadway to King''s Cross. We got on our 8:03 train which after not leaving for about 10-15 mins ended up being cancelled because of a fault on the train. We eventually got on the 8:30 train which pulled out on time and we managed to get to Doncaster before changing on a train full of Sheffield United fans to get to Hull. Got to Hull station at about 11:20 and walked for about 20 mins to get to the ground. The game itself was an entertaining one with Sheff Utd being by far the better team and deservedly taking the lead after about 20 mins into the game through a header by Billy Sharp. Sheffield then dominated the ball and had a few chances to extend their lead before being awarded a penalty a couple of mins before HT which was saved by Hull keeper Ingram at it was 0-1 at HT. Sheffield United came out in the second half again with the majority of the ball and Hull looked out of their depth at times when Egan doubled United''s lead about 5 mins into the second half through a free header from a corner. About 10 mins later Egan had added a third for United once again from a corner and the game looked like it had escaped Hull. A couple of subs for Hull seemed to make a difference and they got one back with about 15 mins remaining from Lewis-Potter with a tap in at the back post. They should''ve got a 2nd one back with about 10 mins remaining which was disallowed for an incorrect offside call. Sheffield United then manged to see out the rest of the game comfortably and won the game 1-3. We walked back to the railway station and got the 15:11 train back home to King''s Cross and got back home via the tube at about 19:00 ish.
