Went with Kev. Nice little ground with a hotchpotch of different stands and terracing and an oval shape around the pitch. Pint and a burger in the bar beforehand. The Sutton fans seemed happy with Palace beating Spurs 3 0 in the early kick off on TV. Stood on terrace and watched a dull 1st half followed by a belting 2nd. Stevenage scored, Sutton equalised and then were given a pen for a Stevenage deliberate hand ball. Stevenage player got red card and Sutton scored pen for 2 1. Stevenage had a real go with 10 men and had a goal disallowed for offside. Sutton clung on for their 1st victory of the league season. Good match. Not much atmosphere but a vocal group of 200 away fans and a small number of noisy home fans too. Very very cockney and very very saaff London - alwight guvnor.

Went after travelling back from holiday in the morning. Left home just before 13:30 and walked to Streatham Common Station and got the train to Sutton Station. Walked from the station to the ground and got to the ground at about 14:20. The 1st half was one of the worst halves of football I have seen. Neither side got a great control of the game and the play was very stop start throughout the half. The second half was a different affair with us having the majority of the ball for the first 10 mins of the half but Stevenage broke up the other end and took the lead. Thankfully, 3 mins later we were level after Kizzi floated a ball to the back post where Bennett headed home to level the game up. We then turned the screw and started looking for the winner and 5 mins later a scramble in the box lead to a handball from a Stevenage defender on the line and a penalty was given with a red card given to the offender. Bennett tucked away the penalty and managed to give us our first EFL win. Got the 280 bus back home and got home just after 18:00.
