All i can remember about this is that a small group of us set out to go to either Charlton Athletic, or Arsenal that evening and ended up by going to West Ham for some unknown reason. I was very excited as this was a big club and i felt really important attending a game there for the first time. I recall how surprised i was at how close the supporters were to the pitch. Have the programme for this game but am looking for ticket stub, or West Ham home ticket for that season.

Match no. 345. 200th West Ham match attended (1st team competitive). Bank Holiday Monday. Keith Robson scored the winner, out-jumping Pat Jennings to head home on the stroke of half-time. Spurs wore an all-yellow strip, the first time I had seen them wear a change-kit to play West Ham.
