This early morning kick off was all about Du-Du-Dugarry !!!!! The frenchman had been outstanding since his free transfer move in January and on this day would score his first Birmingham goal !! Lorraine and Dave went as they had tickets for mothers day and as usual Fletch and Jimmy where in there usual seats !!   The first half was not that exiting but Blues went in at half time in front. With a couple of minutes of the first half remainging Poom came off his line to make a clearence he did not connect with properly and Bryan Hughes delivered a wonderfull chip over the goalkeeper to put Blues in front !!   A beer at half time and off for the second half !!   The second half began and was lit up in the 60th minute when Dugarry struck !! A couple of balls in the box and then a brilliant directed header from Mathew Upson fell to Dugarry who headed the ball in the far corner !! St Andrews erupted, people where out of there seat, Dugarry blew kisses to the crowd, kissed his badge and ran to celebrate with Steve Bruce and the coaching staff !! St Andrews exploded with DU-DU-DUGARRY, The song that Dugarry later admitted motivated him to give his all for the cause !! Dugarry was taken off five minutes later to a outstanding reception as player and supporters applauded !! Birmingham held on to the 2-0 lead which meant Sunderland where relegated and Birmingham where pusshing away from the drop !!
