A birthday present I''d opened in the morning, I was well excited for the long trip up to Newcastle to see my heroes at home for the first time. Customary stop at the Angel of the North and a few birthday purchases at the club shop before we went in, the stadium looked absolutely phenomonal from the outside and just as good from the inside when we were in. Took a lot of climbing to get to the seats, but they were reasonable seats, not too far from the halfway line. Remember the goal and it was some sort of landmark goal, cant remember what landmark though, 150th of something for Shearer, my schoolboy idol. We also had a goal disallowed, for offside I think. Remember singing ''Only one Bobby Robson'' as my first terrace song.
