A game just before christmas in Sheffield was next on the list. Fletch, Daisy & Marc travelled up to Sheffield. They found a pub which was recommended by Fitchy and began a days drinking and a few games of pool !! They where going to leave about half one to meet Warren in the ground for a drink who had travelled up there with family. Not long before leaving Warren called to say that the famous Hillsborough did not provide beer so that idea was scrapped and we remained in the pub until half two !! We arrived at the game just before kick off, the teams come out and the game was under way !! A average first half was improved when Cameron Jerome's shot was parried and Stephen Clemence poked home to give Blues the leed. Wednesday improved second half and missed a couple of good chances but just after the hour the game was over. Gary Mcsheffery cut in from the left and fired a low shot home to put Birmingham 2-0 in front. Mark Crossley in goal for Sheffield Wednesday was forced to go off with injusry shortly before the end, Wednesday went down to ten men as they had used all the subs. A poor back pass let Cameron Jerome in before the end and he fired home to put the icing on the cake !!   After the game Fleth, Daisy and Marc got the tram to the station, a few sheffield wednesday youth got on and songs where chanted at both groups of fans, about eight Birmingham fans where chanting 'zulu zulu'', the Sheffield Wednesday fans they wanted the row but the Birmingham fans a embarrasment to the club and themselves flapped it !! Please not me, Daisy and Marc where not involved in this we just minded our own business. The Wednesday fans after a couple more charges got off, the Birmingham fans made out they wern't scared and looked my way to agree, that was returned with a look of disgust and a look away !!   We eventually got on the train where Marc befriended a Wednesday fan who lived in brum and made our way home, a few in town and to beddybies for the night !!
