The final home game off the 2006 / 2007 season and promotion in sight !! A win would all but guarantee a immediate return to the premiership !! As Derby where playing on sunday Blues could not get promoted on this game but a win would mean Derby need to win there last two games and Blues lose there last one !! Fletch and Daisy with Ruby in her belly headed to the game with loads of the lads who didn't end up going in the game in the end and opted to go the pub !! A quick drink before the game, pop for Daisy and to the match they headed !! A nervous first half ended goal less, the second half began and Blues feared the worse when Fabrice Muamba picked up a second yellow in the 58th minute. Blues where up against it and pretty shortly after Sheffield Wednesday hit the bar. Blues then threw on there secret weapon, Cameron Jerome, the man who always scores against Sheffield Wednesday and he didn't dissapoint as he poked home a 74th minute corner to put Blues in front !! Sheffield Wednesday again preasured but the game was soon over when Seb Larsson scored the goal off the season, he picked the ball up on the half way line and ran towards goal beating two defenders and smashing home low in the corner to make it 2-0 !! The top came over and the fans went mad !! Full time soon arrived and Birmingham where on the brink off Promotion which was confirmed the following day when Crystal Pacace beat Derby 2-0 !! The players did a lap of honour and applauded the supporters who retrurned this for there efforts !! Fletch and Daisy had a couple by the ground with Joe then headed to loaf bar to meet Ricky who was in a state as per usual and Jimmy who never turned up as he was in bed with his refugee mrs !! A f ew drinks and they departed about 11pm !!
