Newcastle Blue Star were formed in 1930 and have never been a League team . Their current league is Northern League Division One. They were wound up in 2009.

Newcastle Blue Star were previously known as Newcastle Blue Star (until 1973), Blue Star Welfare (until 1979), Blue Star (until 1986), Newcastle Blue Star (until 1994) and R T M Newcastle (until 1998).
