With the Brooklands out of commission because of water damage then if you’re walking to the grounds then use the Prince of Wales 30 Bynner Street following the directions above then on Belle Vue Road take a first left down Trinity Street and third left in Bynner Street.

Very friendly community type pub, quite busy for a Saturday afternoon and it was lovely to sit outside on the decking area overlooking the bowling green. We tried the Hobsons Mild which was a bit too cold but the Salopian Golden Thread and the St Austell Tribute were both very good. Great beer, nice atmosphere and seemed to have a good following of regulars

From here to the ground then it walk to the end of the Street turn right walk down Sutton Lane over the railway bridge and at the main roundabout turn right and walk up to the next roundabout Mole Brace take the first left into Oteley Road and at the lights walk across the road then take the road to the ground.
If driving
At the end of the M54 continue onto the A5. After about seven miles, there is a roundabout take the first exit following the A5. At the next roundabout take the third exit onto Thieves Lane. Continue along Thieves Lane going straight over two roundabouts and this will lead you into Oteley Road. At the lights take the left hand lane up to the ground.

There is a large car park at the stadium, holding almost 700 cars; however, this is for permit holders only although if you are early you may be admitted for Β£7! Parking is prohibited in the nearby Retail Park and nearby streets, Check though for any parking restrictions detailed on posts, before parking up. The best place to park is at the car park at the Meole Brace Bowling Club, which is at Meole Rise (Off Upper Road, SY3 9JF) which cost Β£5 per car and has a bar on site too. You just walk up Upper Road to the end and take a left walk down to the roundabout and take the second exit right and at the lights cross the road and walk up to the ground its 15 minute walk.
Public transport
Shrewsbury train station is around 1.8 mile away from the stadium. It takes 37 minutes to walk, come out of the station and turn left on to Oteley Road and walk down the road past the castle down to Marks & Sparks then follow the one way system down St Mary’s Street down through the Dogpole you will see the Red Lion pub turn left here and walk down the hill in Wyle Cop and at the next junction cross the road and walk down St Julian’s Friars at the bottom walk over the footbridge and the walk up to the main road cross over just after spar and do a left into Greyfriars Road then walk up the hill and turn right into Bell Vue Road and walk straight down the narrow road.

At the Grove Pub follow the road over the railway, this leads into Hereford Road go left at the Y junction still walking down Herford Road down past the BP Garage keep to the left this will take you on to Roman Road and take you to the roundabout Mole Brace take the second left into Oteley Road and at the lights walk across the road then take the road to the ground. (Remember Shrewsbury is Hilly), There are buses from the town centre bus station 8, 16, 23, 25 & 544/546 go to Meole Brace and its 200 yards past the roundabout to the ground which is on the right at the lights.
