Comments :
Match no. 44. Ken Brown Testimonial. Great fun was had by all on a night of 14 goals. West Ham''s team included new signing Billy Bonds and one of their scorers was goalkeeper Colin Mackleworth on a foray upfield. Ken Brown''s XI was some team: Gordon Banks, John Bond, Jim Langley, Maurice Setters, Alan Stephenson, Ken Brown, Mark Lazarus, Rodney Marsh, Johnny Byrne, George Eastham and Don Rogers. Brown was eventually substituted by comedian Jimmy Tarbuck, who scored a goal! This was my 16th successive game at Upton Park, easily a new record.
