Went with Lee straight from work, with the view that it would be great to get this long trip out of the way.  Took 4hrs 30mins each way but wasnt a bad journey.  Had a great bargain meal in Yates in Hartlepool before the game and lost track of time until 5 mins before kick off!  The game was pretty rubbish, just one of those that goes on with no real interest and hard to get in to.  Loads and loads of Chav type familes and kids at the ground and the place seemed quite run down.  The man infront of me was trying to convince his friend that its hard working on a shopping style till as people might ask for the unexpected - stamps!! Hartlepool won 2-0 which was deserved.  Risked my life and let Lee drive an hour or so one the way home as knackered.

Went with Pagey.  - Got the train to Bury and got picked up at the station,  - the journey was extremely long but went fairly quickly just one funny incident when we got stuck in traffic and Pagey suggested getting the Sat Nav out the back to try and find an alternatiove route.  - Apparently it was in the back in  - a carrier bag.  - Well I got out ran to the back(obviously still in the slowly moving queue of traffic) and opened up the boot - there were about 300 bags in the back and I just proceeded to quickly grab everyone and sprint back and jump back in before the guy behind us got in a mood.  - Once sat down it turned out I had picked up every bag except the one I actually needed!  - Including a bag of bags that was supposed to be dropped off at recycling.  -   - Got to Hartlepool in good time and after getting cash from one of 3 huge supermarkets (All right next to each other?????) we parked up and wandered into town.  - Went into a Yates and ordered a meal 6 minutes before they stopped serving food.  - Food was a bargain worked out about £4 each for a main and a dessert.  - Pagey checked the time whilst ramming his dessert down only to find it was 5 minutes until kickoff and the ground was 5 minutes away! We rushed to the stadium and got in with 3 minutes on the clock.  - The ground was small but ok and there was a fair few people crammed in at our end.  - everyone had reall geordie accents and there were so many little pikey kids about you would of thought you were at an ASBO training centre.  - Game wasn''t great and there was little atmosphere but not the worst game I have ever been to by a long stretch.  - Went to leave 3 minutes before the end, Pagey in his infinite wisdom suggested we could only get out one way so we ended up having to walk right round the stadium an through morrisions car park only to find we could have got out the other way anyway.  - Got back to Pagey''s van only to find someone had drawn a skull and written death on the window....don''t think they liked us parking there.  - Journey home was long and tiring, 4& - 1/2 hrs, I drove some of the way and there was alot of wind on the A1.  - Ended up getting back at about 2am!
