My mate hired a car out for the day & 4 of us went up to Liverpool for this match. We drove up through the peaks & stopped at Macclesfield for some food. We arrived at Anfield about 11am hoping to get tickets for the Kop. Unfortunately they were sold out so we got tickets for the Main Stand.   What struck me about Anfield was how hidden away it is. I remember that we turned a corner & right infront of us was the Shankly Gates. Quite surreal.   After this, the day was a blur due to having a few too many drinks. The game was poor, & Spartak scored twice late in the 2nd half.
