Was in Hatfield for the weekend so decided to take the 25 minute trip down the road to watch this game. Had a nightmare getting to the ground itself, used the suggested postcode of 2 given on the Abbey website which left me nowhere so put the other one in which took me into a rough council estate. Drove around for a bit until I saw a reasonable looking person to ask for directions. Still struggled to find it but eventually got there 5 mins before ko. Ground was poor, very run down and mostly surrounded by corrigated steel fences backing onto the council estate. Kind of understand why they call it Waltham Shabby. Met up with 1 of my cricket team who is a regular Needham fan and watched the game with him. Needham were pretty awesome and ran out 4-0 winners in about the most straightforward win I have seen a team secure. Saw Needham''s Venezulean player for the 1st time when he came on as a sub, he looked top notch and surely will be awesome at the level. If Needham continue playing at this level they will surely get the promotion they so narrowly missed out on last season. Enjoyed the game, won''t be in a rush to go there again that is for sure, however glad I went and another 1 off the ryman north list.
