Blinding day.
First proper away day, as it wasnt far away, went along with some school mates and saw a couple of other friends in the away end. Was a sell-out for away fans and a possibility of clinching promotion, if we won and forest dropped points at Bristol.
The away end was rammed, took up a large section of a side stand too and there were others dotted around in the peterborough stand, probably with half of the attendance as Newcastle fans.
The atmosphere was electric, with a very loud support throughout, made it into a home game pretty much.
Went behind in the game, not that anyone seemed bothered, keeper had been clattered by a defender in the buildup as he went to clear outside the box, which left an open goal for the posh scorer.
Eventually our class told and the supporters were rewarded, with Joey Bartons free-kick being a particular highlight, with Nolan playing games with their keeper which was amusing and apparently a worthwhile exercise.
Unfortunately the other results didnt go our way, despite a rumour that Brizzle had scored with 5 minutes to go and it was left to the next game to secure it.
A good day out, although it took a day or two to recover fully and get my voice back.
