1st game of another double header. Craig suggested the trip to Birmingham and after being told we couldn''t purchase tickets in advance without a support number??? we had to take our chance on the turnstiles! Picked Craig up at half 8 and headed to Birmingham, made good time arriving near the ground at 11:10, paid £5 to park in a secure area adjacent to the ground, headed round to the cash turnstile and went in about an hour early for a burger and a drink. With it being a local derby in the 3rd round of the FA Cup I was expecting a near full house, however it was soon evident (maybe with it being a TV game) that the attendance wasn''t going to be very good. Infact with only about half the ground filled I really did think it was poor to be honest. I paid £25 to get which I didn''t think was too bad, however perhaps that is quite alot if you already have a season ticket etc. Was quite impressed with the ground, good size and a bit of a throw back and although the poor attendance the locals generated a decent atmosphere. Was looking forward to the game but it was bar far the worst football I have seen for some time. Kevin Doyle for Wolves had the high profile reputation but was absolutely shocking. The only player who looked any good at all was Birminghams Redmond who has been linked to City. At half time there was a competiton where they got 2 random people out of the crowd who had to strike the ball in direct from various distances without the ball hitting the ground before crossing the line. It was hilarious when some pikey kid tried to show off and scoop it in from the 6 yard box only to totally mess it up, what an idiot. he missed out on 2 hospitality tickets and made himself look a twat in front of 15,000 people. The 2nd half was like the 1st - dire! We made our way up to the top of the stand on 89 minutes and left just as 4 minutes stoppage time was announced. Jogged back to the car conscious that traffic might make the trip across town to Walsall for the 3ko a bit of push.
