Rinat Dasayev was named World Goalkeeper of the Year in 1988, and played for the Rest of the World at Wembley in 1987. He won 91 caps for Russia. He was the goalkeeper left floundering by Marco van Basten''s amazing volley from an acute angle in the the Final of the 1988 European Championships.
