i was supporting Chesterfield because my Dad does. We travelled to London via catamaran from the Isle of Wight where we live and then got the train from Portsmouth Harbour to London Victoria. There were also four supporters from Swindon on the train and i told them they would lose. We met my uncle in London near the London Eye and Big Ben then went on to Wembley via the tube. I liked the big arch over the stadium and Dad explained about the Bobby Moore statue. We met up with some of Dads friends before going into the ground.
The atmosphere was amazing with both sets of supporters singing about Paolo Di Canio. I was told not to listen.
There were no goals in the first half but Chesterfield scored but it was not allowed then Chesterfield lost their most favourite player,Jack Lester who got injured. Chesterfield scored very early in the second half thanks to an own goal by Swindon Towns Oliver Risser. The noise was incredible and everyone started to jump up and down celebrating. Chesterfield scored a second goal very near the end by Craig Westcarr and one half of Wembley was rocking. Chesterfield were given a trophy at the end of the game and i feel i was a very lucky girl to see such a good game of football at my first ever match. We then travelled back to the Isle of Wight but the Swindon Town fans were not on the train this time. Dad said they probably caught an earlier train. My mum met me at the ferry terminal when i got back which rounded off a perfect day.
