Comments :
Went to this game as a last minute thing with Gason Beesley. Having agreed to see one of our team mates fight that evening on a show in Norwich I managed to talk Jay into getting this local one in. Arrived in Dereham but the postcode didn''t leave us near the ground so we were driving around trying to find it. We finally spotted some floodlights and after going down several dead ends of a residentially estate got round to the entrance only to find the floodlights were for the hockey stadium. After driving around a bit more I done the sensible thing and asked a local for directions finally arriving at the ground going in just as the game kicked off. Stadium was tidy and impressive for the level with a long covered terracing area as the main stand. Watched the 1st half from behind the goal. Weather was cold particularally with the strong gusty wind blowing in our direction. The players struggled to adapt to the wind and the quality suffered as a result. Clacton started off the better but were caught on the counter attack by a well taken goal. Dereham scored another on the break and then took over from then on. Went round to the covered stand for the 2nd half which went quickly. Dereham scored a 3rd and then after a few heated exchanges and both sides being reduced to 10 men they won a penalty which was converted for 4-0. As we left Clacton scored with the last kick for their consolation. Anothe local one done.
