Went with Dave and Nathan to this Men''s game. Good game, good experience and good to be part of the Olympics. Japan deserved their win but the scoreline flattered them because Egypt were down to 8 and a half men by the end of it. One Egyptian was sent off in the first half. And after all their subs had been made another 2 Egyptians got injured - 1 had to leave the field and the other limped on to the end. So 3 0 was a bit harsh in my opinion. But Japan were the better team. Strange atmosphere during match - lots of little kids and mexican waves! But big crowd - officially a sell out but about 7000 empty seats according to the gate announcement. Nice statues outside too - Busby + Best, Law and Charlton. Also the Munich Air Disaster memorial. BEFORE - Yes, years ago with Steve O to see Man Utd v Forest - think it was Boxing day (or maybe New Years day) in mid/late 80s. I think it was a 1 1 draw. SINCE - Super League Grand Final 2014 (11 Oct) St Helens 14 v Wigan 6 - Wigan Prop Ben Flower sent off for punch in 1st few minutes.
