I actually travelled alone to this game.It was pre-segregation days.I had always wondered what it would be like at Bloomfield Road.My father had told me of the time he had been in Blackpool in 1953 to see the FA Cup paraded.This game was a pre-season match.I decided to go into the South Stand and saw Paul Hart score the winner.I recall the stadium even then being fairly ramshackle (it would get worse)with a large open air end at the other end of the ground.
