Bren decides to drive up with Sean, Phil, Dom, Seb, Andy & JK in his people carrier to annoy him along the way.
A journey up on the M6 on friday evening finds us stuck in traffic along the way. Beers, brownies & brandys for the journey sees it go alot quicker! Get up there and get to the ground fashionably late (as we do), missed weimanns goal already... FFS. No big deal as the beast benteke soon steps into gear with a quick-fire hat-trick, some good work to set up the goals from El-ahmadi & weimann. We concede from a corner (what a surprise), then the 2nd half is very subdued, then a moment of magic from one of our many new signings Leandro Bacuna who cuts inside and fires a left footed rocket to the top corner to round off the scoring. 5-1... and our first pre-season win.
After the game, we go for a curry, dom goes for slash then we all decide the curryhouse looks abit too snooty so we just go for chips instead and leave dom there... hillarious.
Grab a few more beers for the journey back to ensure we're all well oiled by the time we reach back to brum. Good day out.
