Lovely day, travel to the ground was really easy, a38 m1 then turn off for Rotherham, New York stadium in the centre of town. The ground is a new ground and this was Walsall's first visit. From the ground you can look across the railway and still see the floodlights and skeleton stands of the old Millmore ground. We parked just down the road from the old ground in the street. We were there really early so we had. A short walk of about 5 minutes into the town centre. The day started bright and sunny, but the crowds rolled in and the sky became overcast. The match was lively with both teams putting in a good show. Walsall had the majority of possession for the first half and went in front with a good move from Milan Lalkovic. The game became more even after the break with both sides having their chances. Walsall were playing well, but had Ben Purkiss sent off for a second yellow card. The millers equalised in the 89th minute after a deflection off Downing's knee bounced up and hit the underside of the crossbar and crossing the line. Walsall had the chance to take the lead again in the final minute from romaine sawyers, but his attempt was saved by the chest of the goalkeeper. The game ended 1 - 1, and we left feeling a little disappointed.
