| Made my way to Stoke via the Chiltern Line which meant changing trains in each direction but all went well. My idea of catching the Number 3 bus to Port Vale was the right one too. However, my decision to pay £18 to use the half- finished Lorne Street Stand ( seat P59) was questionable as the drizzle blew in when it rained and I needed to shield my eyes when it was sunny! The season ticket holders around me were very friendly and the locals were helpful on the buses too. I enjoyed my day and if I ever win big on the lottery I''ll get that stand finished for them!
