Comments :
Greece''s miserable Euro qualifying campaign continued as they drew 0-0 with Hungary at the Groupama Arena. The Greeks had lost three of their opening four Group F matches, one of which was a humiliating 1-0 defeat at home to the Faroe Islands. They were hoping to kick-start their campaign against a Hungary side who had registered consecutive wins against the Faroes and Finland. Greece had found the net just once in their opening five matches and they knew a win was needed if they had any chance of qualifying, with the top two, Romania and Northern Ireland, on 13 and 12 points respectively. Neither side made a particularly fast start with the first effort on goal not coming until the 34th minute, when Balazs Dzsudzsak shot wide from distance. Panagiotis Kone had a great opportunity to double Greece''s campaign goal tally four minutes after the restart but from six yards out, headed straight at home stopper Gabor Kiraly. That was as close as either side would come in what proved to be a night to forget in Budapest.
