Deb dropped Richard and I at Bromley South for the 10.13. At Putney Bridge popped into the café opposite the station for a bacon sandwich and coffee before walking via Bishops Park to the ground. Adam didn''t come, Mike still recovering, but Lee and George turned up, as did Dixie. McCormack scored after 4 mins and Dembele added a second on 30, and we thought it was going to be a good day. But Fulham''s midfield was weak, and Blackburn came into the game more. Husband gave away a needless penalty on 70 which Jordan Rhodes scored, and thereafter we felt we could end up drawing. In fact they did score because the ball went over the line but O''Hara cleared and the lino didn''t call it. Luck going our way for a change. As I said to Richard as we were walking back, we should be elated at getting all 3 points, but the concern that they might equalise tempers our enthusiasm. Back to Deb''s after for early birthday tea for Richard, Lauren having made a coffee cake for him.
