Tranmere visits PLD 1 W0 D0 L1 GF0 GA2. Total games 2 other game v Carlisle 6-2 circa 1991. Tranmeres first visit to Sincil bank since the 88/89 season. Drove to the game from Bedfordshire and was shocked and surprised to be accompanied by my mum for her first ever game considering she's in her sixties now i never thought i'd see the day, i'm hoping to be there in the away end in a few weeks so decided to go in the side stand for a better view and a quieter atmosphere for mum but this backfired as we were next to the noisey home support which was unexpected as a large amount of home venues offer little atmosphere and noise so credit to those Lincoln fans. Rovers started brightly but the game was ruined when Tranmeres keeper was sent off after only 15 minutes. He was rash in charging out of the box when the defender seemed to have the danger covered the ball was hit at him and he appeared to look away as it hit him the ref deemed it deliberate handball and he was off harsh as i've watched it back a number of times and it's still unclear where it made contact. His replacement was making his debut and after Hill conceaded a soft penalty a few minutes later he made a fantastic save to keep the game alive.Rovers defended superbly with neither side looking likely to score until Lincoln did with about 15minutes to go. Long drive home hitting the pillow at 2 AM.
